Valence Howden

Valence Howden is a Distinguished Analyst and Advisory Fellow currently engaged in helping organizations optimize their design and governance strategies for success. With over 30 years of experience, they have held various roles from coding to managing IT service delivery and governance, including significant positions at companies such as Infotech Research Group and CGI. Valence co-founded A Lady With a Plan Inc. and has contributed to international standards as the Canadian Co-chair for SCC and ISO Committee Member. They hold a B.Sc. in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Toronto at Scarborough and have completed extensive training in leadership and IT project management. Valence is recognized as a thought leader in AI governance, risk, and ethics, and actively participates in speaking engagements worldwide.
