Johan Ersfolk

Johan Ersfolk is a Senior Software Engineer at Walkbase, a STRATACACHE company, since April 2018, specializing in C, Bash, Linux, firmware, and IEEE 802.11. Prior to this role, Johan worked as a researcher at Åbo Akademi from March 2006 to April 2018, contributing to the High Performance Computing Lab with projects on geophysical 3D modeling using GPUs, and also collaborating with Tampere University of Technology on digital hydraulic systems. Johan holds a Doctor of Science in Technology degree in Information Technology and a Master of Science in Technology degree in Embedded Systems, both from Åbo Akademi University, complemented by technical training from Svenska Yrkesinstitutet. Current objectives include visualizing and performing real-time forward modeling of large 3D geophysical models utilizing OpenGL, OpenCL, and CUDA, along with proficiency in C++14, OpenMP, VTK, and Paraview.
