Peter Stanton

Peter Stanton is the Chief Executive Officer of Walker Basin Conservancy, where they lead one of the largest freshwater acquisition and revegetation efforts in North America. In that role, they have overseen initiatives to date that include acquiring more than 125 cfs of freshwater, helping create a new state park, and opening more than 30 miles of the Walker River to public access. Prior to this role, they were the Director Of Development at CARE Chest of Sierra Nevada from 2015 to 2018, where they directed fundraising activities and increased funds raised by 20.2%. They served as Vice President Of Development at PBS from 2018 to 2021, leading fundraising efforts and increasing station net assets by 86% over three years. They are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Economics at Oregon State University.
