Darren Kane

Columnist

Darren Kane currently serves as an Ethics Panel Member at the International Testing Agency and Chairman of the Combat Sports Authority of NSW. With extensive experience in legal and governance roles, Darren holds the position of Principal at Advocatus Lawyers & Consultants and Chairman of the Reform and Governance Commission for the International Weightlifting Federation. Additional leadership roles include Chairman of the Integrity Committee for Basketball Australia, Arbitrator and Mediator at the National Sports Tribunal of Australia, and Member of the Legal Aid Panel at the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Darren has also served as Deputy Chairman of The Carbine Club of NSW and has been a columnist for The Sydney Morning Herald since June 2013. Educational qualifications include a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Sports Law from UNSW and a Diploma in Law from the Legal Practitioners Admission Board.
