Eloi Poch has over 15 years of work experience in software engineering and technical leadership roles. Eloi started their career at Grupo ITnet, where they progressed from an intern to a Software Development Manager. During this time, they led the transition from a proprietary system to an open-source environment.
Following that, Eloi worked at Groupalia as a Senior PHP Developer, where they developed the email marketing service and gained expertise in technologies such as Cassandra, Redis, and RabbitMQ.
At TusJuegos, they served as the CTO and led a team to create a platform with multiple payment systems and game integrations. Eloi also played a role in the company's closure, gaining valuable experience in the startup environment.
Eloi then joined Akamon Entertainment (now Tangelo Games Spain) as a Technical Lead. Eloi focused on building a team culture of continuous improvement and led the migration of the infrastructure to AWS, improving reliability and reducing costs.
Currently, Eloi is working at Wallapop, where they started as a Software Engineer and later transitioned to the role of Principal Engineer. Eloi played a key role in the platform's transformation to a distributed architecture and led the migration of core entities from a Monolith to microservices.
Throughout their career, Eloi has demonstrated a strong ability to drive technical transformations, mentor teams, and ensure scalability and reliability in various projects. Eloi has acquired expertise in technologies such as DDD, Kotlin, and DynamoDB.
Eloi Poch obtained a High-Level Technical Degree in Computing Systems from Salessians Sarrià School from 2001 to 2003. Eloi then pursued a High-Level Technical Degree in Software Development in Computer Science from the same institution from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, Eloi obtained the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification from Cisco in 2006 and the Zend PHP 5.3 Certification from Zend Technologies in 2013.
