James Smith

James Smith is an experienced finance professional with a robust background in governance, risk, and compliance, currently serving as Senior Director II of Finance Transformation at Walmart since November 2005. Throughout tenure at Walmart, James has held multiple leadership roles, including Senior Director of Global Internal Controls, where responsibility encompassed the SOX program, audit support, and governance. Additional roles involved overseeing global controllership initiatives and designing international internal controls with an emphasis on anti-corruption. Prior to Walmart, James served as an IT Auditor at Unum and worked as an Accountant/CPA at Kirkland & Company, providing public accounting services.
