Jim Thomson, CPP, PDP has over 20 years of experience in packaging product development and engineering. Currently serving as Director of Packaging Product Development at Walmart since November 2019, Jim previously held the position of Senior Manager II in Packaging Engineering within the same company. Prior to Walmart, Jim was the Director of Engineering at Ameripack, Inc. from May 2005 to November 2019, where responsibilities included managing product development and engineering resources, and also worked as a Packaging Engineer, designing and managing new packaging projects. Earlier experience includes roles as a Packaging Engineer at UFP Technologies, Inc. and as a Packaging Engineer Coop at IBM. Jim began a career in customer service and retail sales with roles at Ganett - The Post-Crescent and The Exclusive Company. Jim holds a Bachelor's degree in Packaging and GBA from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
