Jorge Rivas

Jorge Rivas is currently the Food Safety Assistant Director at Walmart de Mexico y Centroamerica, where they lead the company’s Food Safety Culture across the supply chain. Prior to this, they served as Assistant Vice President of Quality and Food Safety at Grupo Rey, implementing food safety systems and developing supplier protocols. Rivas also held the position of Quality Assurance Manager at HEB, where they enhanced food safety standards and developed proprietary products. Their extensive career in food safety began at PepsiCo, where they managed quality assurance programs. Rivas holds a degree in Quimico Bacteriologo Parasitologo from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, along with a diploma in Quality and Food Safety Systems from Yokohama, Japan.
