Josh Thaxton is a seasoned professional with diverse experience spanning military service and various management roles. From June 1999 to December 2011, Josh served as a Naval Officer and Aircrewman for the US Navy, participating in Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. Transitioning to education, Josh taught US Studies and Contemporary History while also working with special education students at the Jackson County Board of Education from April 2013 to June 2016. Josh then shifted focus to talent acquisition at Cielo Talent until June 2020 before taking on managerial roles at Walmart, initially as General Maintenance Manager and currently as Director of Facilities Maintenance since May 2023. Josh holds a Master's degree in Secondary Education and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government, both from Old Dominion University.
