Kathryn Smith

Kathryn Smith is a responsible sourcing professional and DEI champion, currently serving as Senior Director of Responsible Sourcing—Human Rights, Environment, and Animal Welfare at Walmart. They previously held various roles at Walmart, including Senior Manager of Programs and Director of Standards & Controls, while also teaching as an adjunct professor at the University of Arkansas School of Law. They earned an LL.M. in Agriculture & Food Law from the University of Arkansas and a J.D. from the same institution, and are bilingual with a background in criminal justice and Spanish. Throughout their career, Kathryn has focused on enhancing compliance programs and fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
