Matt Hu

Matt Hu currently serves as Manager of Marketplace Strategic Initiatives at Walmart, focusing on program management for marketplace seller growth since July 2024. Previously, from June 2021 to February 2023, Matt worked as Corporate Development Manager at Balco Australia PTY Ltd., where responsibilities included leading the acquisition of a competitor to enhance production and expand geological reach, as well as overseeing a team that modernized branding and implemented an industry-first order tracking system. Prior experience includes roles as Deputy Manager of Human Resources at Sequoia Capital China and as a Summer Associate at JD.COM, along with an internship as a Product Manager. Matt holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Environmental Science from Cornell University, in addition to a high school diploma from The Harker School.
