Michael Stephenson

Michael Stephenson is a highly experienced legal and compliance professional specializing in environmental, health, and safety matters. Since September 2008, Stephenson has held various leadership roles at Walmart, including Lead Counsel - EHS and Senior Director positions, where responsibilities have encompassed providing regulatory counsel, leading compliance strategies, and overseeing the development of compliance programs for extensive facilities and operations. Prior to Walmart, Stephenson served as Managing Attorney/Branch Chief at the US EPA, managing legal services and developing enforcement strategies for complex environmental cases. Stephenson holds a BS in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida and a JD/MBA from Stetson University.
