Sook Muk is a seasoned finance executive with extensive experience in strategic financial leadership across various global markets. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and CFO of Walmart China since January 2024, Sook oversees the financial operations of over 350 Walmart and Sam's Club stores with an annual turnover of approximately $20 billion. Prior to this role, Sook held the position of VP Commercial Finance and FP&A at Walmart de México y Centroamérica, contributing to the financial strategy of Mexico’s largest retailer. Sook's impressive career also includes significant tenure at bp, where roles included CFO for Mobility & Convenience Europe, General Manager for bp Fuels Mexico, and various leadership positions in Air BP across South America and Western Europe. Educational background includes a BSc in Management from The London School of Economics and a MSc in Global Politics from Birkbeck, University of London, complemented by ICAEW ACA qualification. Sook has also engaged in mentorship through the LSE Alumni Association and worked as an external auditor at Ernst & Young.
