Tim Sweda

Tim Sweda, PhD, currently serves as the Director of Data Science - Supply Chain Finance at Walmart, where they develop innovative solutions for supply chain labor planning and optimization. With over 11 years of industry experience, Sweda has previously held key roles at Nordstrom, where they led data science and analytics initiatives, and Schneider, where they built and managed teams that delivered significant value across logistics operations. Sweda's educational background includes a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences from Northwestern University, as well as a B.S. in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College. They also contributed to transformative projects during stints as an intern and team leader at various organizations, including Google Summer of Code and Nike.
