Wendell Smith

Wendell Smith is a seasoned Principal Automation Engineer at Walmart since June 2000, specializing in the design of Automated Grocery Buildings and leading Greenfield automation initiatives. With a background in project management and supply chain engineering, Wendell has contributed to various roles, including Senior Manager and Project Manager, where responsibilities included enhancing Walmart's Grocery Logistics Network and developing the latest automated distribution center for perishables. Prior experience includes serving on the Board of Directors for Truth In Nails, as well as management and engineering roles at Service Merchandise and Standard Products Corp. Wendell holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Tennessee Technological University and has completed further training in effective communications and logistics management.
