Michael Bauer, P.E. is currently the Vice President and Executive Director of Design-Build at BIA West, bringing over 33 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry. Since joining The Walsh Group in 2016, they have focused on Design-Build contracting and the establishment of best practices for exceptional project performance. Previously, Michael held various roles at Jacobs, including Vice President of Divisional Operations, where they oversaw significant infrastructure projects such as the $2.4 billion I-4 Ultimate Improvement Project in Florida. Michael holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville.
