Phillip Riedel

Head of IT at Wandelbots

Phillip Riedel has worked in the IT field since 2007. In 2007, they worked as an IT Student at GlaxoSmithKline, where they evaluated network monitoring solutions, developed an inhouse solution for printer statistics, evaluated MS SharePoint 2007, migrated Lotus Notes databases to MS SharePoint, evaluated database connection options of SharePoint, and set up a small testing environment. Phillip'sdiploma thesis was on protecting production networks from testing and development network infrastructures using Firewall and UTM technology.

From 2010 to 2014, Phillip worked as an IT Consultant at ITARICON Management- und IT-Beratung. During this time, they served as an external technical consultant for different customers and in different working areas, including supporting the set-up of an application management services, technical consulting of SAP PI version upgrade, and technical consulting and 3rd level support of a large IBM datapower environment.

In 2014, Phillip became an IT Consultant at OMMIT - Open Minded Management and IT GmbH, where they started as an external PMO/ project assistant and ended up as a technical project manager for a large network security project. Phillip was also responsible for the inhouse IT administration of the small startup.

From 2015 to 2022, Phillip worked at Cyberport GmbH, where they held various roles. Phillip was a Team Lead IT Infrastructure Services, a Team Lead IT Infrastructure & IT Security/ Information Security Officer, and a Specialist IT Process Mgmt & IT Security/ Information Security Officer. In these roles, they were a disciplinary and functional lead of an IT experts team, responsible for the inhouse IT infrastructure and IT service delivery across the lifecycle, and actively worked in larger IT projects. Phillip was also responsible for developing an ISMS based on ISO 27001.

Currently, Phillip is the Head of IT at Wandelbots.

Phillip Riedel received their Diplom-Ingenieur (BA) in Informationstechnik from Berufsakademie Sachsen - Staatliche Studienakademie Dresden between 2007 and 2010. Phillip is currently studying Medieninformatik at Technische Universität Dresden.
