Brian Carruthers

Brian Carruthers possesses extensive experience in journalism and media, currently serving as the news editor at warc.com since February 2012. Prior to this role, Carruthers worked as a media analyst and market researcher, combining market research with media monitoring from March 2011 to February 2012. An information officer at the Central Office of Information from August 2001 to October 2010, Carruthers produced daily media briefings for government ministers and participated in strategy meetings. Earlier experience includes editing at bmcnews, freelance business writing, and managerial roles at ICC Publications, where Carruthers commissioned industry reports and managed editorial staff. Academic qualifications include a BSc in government and history from The London School of Economics and Political Science, a Diploma in Public Communications from Leeds Trinity University, and an MSc in Development Studies from London South Bank University.
