Michael MacKinnon

Michael Mackinnon is an experienced architect and project leader currently working at Wardle since February 2025. Previous roles include Associate and Design Leader at Woods Bagot, where key projects encompassed several educational institutions and libraries. Prior to that, Michael held the position of Project Leader and Architect at MVRDV, leading various competitions and significant projects, including a transformation of the Dutch Pavilion at the 2000 World Expo. Other notable roles include Project Architect at Tengbom, where Michael contributed to the design of Europe's largest lithium-ion battery factory, and Design Manager at the City of Sydney, overseeing significant urban renewal projects. Michael's architectural education includes a Master of Architecture from the University of Melbourne, complemented by studies at Politecnico di Milano and RMIT University.
