Support Operations Lead at WARP

Derek Smith has held a variety of roles since 1984. From 2000 to 2004, they were self-employed, providing photography and web design services for clients such as the Western Isles Health Board, Western Isles Enterprise, Highlands & Island Enterprise, and the Royal Mail. In 2004, they became Project Services Manager/Business Analyst at The Logic Group, where they were instrumental in setting improved customer expectations and implemented improved processes and procedures for handling of data. That same year, they also began working as Technical IT Manager at Sutton & Merton Primary Care Trust. In 2005, they became Research Manager at Ablaise, where they implemented working practices and systems to improve the sales and documentation process. From 2008 to 2018, they worked as Customer Service Manager at iSOFT and RioMed Ltd. Derek then began working as Support Operations Lead at WARP Technologies Ltd. in 2019.

Derek Smith attended Eastwood High School, Glasgow prior to obtaining their BSc in Computer Science from the University of Strathclyde between 1978 and 1983. Derek has also obtained an ITILV3 Foundation certification from PRINCE 2.
