Eric Hurkens is currently the Lead Engineer of Product Development at Wärtsilä, a position held since 2024. Previously, Eric served in various engineering roles, including Manager of Electrical & Software Engineering at U-Boat Worx from 2016 to 2022, and Senior Control Systems Designer at IHC Hytech B.V. from 2015 to 2016. Eric also has experience as a Software Engineer in industrial automation at IndAut and worked as a service engineer at Kannegiesser Nederland. Eric earned a degree in HTS Elektro Meet & Regel from Fontys Hogeschool Venlo and previously studied Electronica at MTS Nijmegen.
