Jorge Alcaide

Jorge Alcaide is the Managing Director of Wärtsilä Brasil and Energy Business Director for the AMER South Region, a position held since January 2008. With comprehensive responsibility for leading the End-to-End Energy Business in the region and overall profit and loss management, Jorge oversees power generation projects and business development for wind, storage, and thermal power, managing a portfolio of approximately 3GW. Previous roles include Energy Business Regional Director and Senior Business Development Manager in Brazil, where responsibilities encompassed business development, sales, and customer relationship management. Jorge's prior experience also includes a managerial position at Sotreq S/A, focusing on sales development of Caterpillar engines in the energy and oil & gas sectors. Education credentials include studies at IMD, FGV, Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, Universidade Federal Fluminense, and Universidade Gama Filho.
