John Layman

John Layman is an accomplished software engineer with extensive experience in developing scalable storage solutions, distributed systems, and automation software. Currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer at Wasabi Technologies, Inc. since March 2017, John has previously held similar positions at Carbonite and Storiant, where John contributed to innovative storage solutions utilizing technologies such as ZFS and Cassandra. John also has a notable background in designing fault-tolerant systems at Constant Contact and was integral to the BMC BladeLogic team, focusing on server automation. Early career experiences include developing VoIP software at Avaya and custom software solutions across various industries while at Foliage Software Systems. John holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from UMass Boston.
