Taylor Thomas

Taylor Thomas is currently a developer at wasmcloud. Prior to that, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft from April 2018 to September 2021. There, they managed and maintained underlying AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) infrastructure with custom software and automation. Taylor also designed and wrote automatic maintenance and remediation software to keep Kubernetes clusters healthy and proactively fix any issues. Additionally, they created a custom scheduler to handle highly customized workloads on Kubernetes. Furthermore, they led various workshops on Helm and AKS for community members and Microsoft customers. Lastly, they mentored student capstone team in creating a Brigade Gateway for interfacing with Kafka.

Before their time at Microsoft, Taylor was a Software Engineer at Nike from March 2017 to April 2018. Prior to that, they were a Cloud Software Engineer at Intel Corporation from May 2015 to March 2017. Taylor started their career as an IT Intern at Intel Corporation from May 2014 to August 2014. Taylor also did an IT Internship at USAA from June 2013 to August 2013. Lastly, they were a System Engineer at Brigham Young University from February 2013 to April 2015.

Taylor Thomas has a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Brigham Young University.
