James Connop currently serves as the Vice President of Finance & Accounting EMEA at Wasserman, a global leader in sports, music, entertainment, and culture, starting in May 2024. Prior to this role, James was the CFO and COO at Empowerment IP Capital from July 2020 to December 2023, where responsibilities included strategic capital provision and advisory within the sports and entertainment sectors. James also held the position of Head of Business Operations at 23 Capital, overseeing significant financial transactions in the same industries from October 2018 to July 2020. Earlier in the career, James worked as the Group Commercial Manager at Soho House & Co, where a global five-year business plan was developed. In the initial part of the career, James gained experience in finance roles at Sony Music Entertainment and Warner Music Group. James holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business Management (International Management) from Cardiff University.
