Max Basurto

Max Basurto is a Statistics and Sport Analytics student at Rice University, working to develop data analysis skills for a future career in data science and analytics. Currently, Max serves as a Teaching Assistant in the Rice Computer Science Department and holds various roles in sports analytics, including Lead NFL Player Analyst at Wasserman. Max has gained practical experience through internships, including roles at the University of Oregon and Rice University, where they focused on recruitment strategy and player evaluations. Previously, Max officiated youth soccer games, showcasing adaptability and leadership as a mentor for younger referees. They are preparing to contribute their expertise in analytics and problem-solving to future organizations.
