In 1993, Watan News released its work from Los Angeles, California-based, creating world-class content that informs millions of audiences around the USA and all over the world.

Watan News has a bright history in covering human rights issues and political stories that media outlets are unable to cover due to censorship issues, as it has launched the first Arab news website on the network by the year 1996 in a way that contributes to supporting media over the regions.

The newspaper moved to state if California and was issued in Los Angeles in 1993, founded by the Palestinian journalist immigrating to America, Nezam Mahdawi. Watan newspaper launched its website in 1996, making it one of the first Arab newspapers to launch its website.

Nevertheless, it has been subjected several times to lawsuits from the advisers of kings, ambassadors and public figures lost by its owners because Watan newspaper has always excelled in publishing the facts.
