1.2 Background of Watborg Eye Services and Vision Center
 Wartborg Eye Services is one of the leading providers of eye healthcare in the Central Region of Ghana, with a track record of organizing screening programs in the communities, training healthcare professionals, creating awareness, and facilitating cataract outreaches, to bring sight restoration to underserved populations.
Watborg Eye Services is a non-profit organization that has been in existence since the 13th of August 2008. We are currently located at Awutu Bereku, Kese-wo-kan Junction on Winneba the Road.

The major purpose of Watborg Eye Services is to model and provide comprehensive, quality, and sustainable eye care that can be replicated throughout Ghana and Sub-Saharan Africa. We are therefore committed to working in partnership with institutions such as Ghana Health Services, other Non-profit Organizations, and some selected district facilities across the nation to complete this task. Our objectives include the following.
1. To provide high-quality, affordable, comprehensive eye care services to those who need it most.
2. To train eye care professionals
