Kerry Gordon has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Currently, they are working at Watchmaker Genomics as an R&D Process Development Lead since September 2021. Prior to that, Kerry worked at Roche where they held multiple positions including Process Design Team Lead, Head of Sample Preparation Reagents Research & Early Development, and Research & Early Development Team Lead. Their tenure at Roche lasted from 2016 to 2021. Before joining Roche, Kerry was a part of the team at Kapa Biosystems as an R&D Team Leader and Senior R&D Scientist. Additionally, they worked at Health & Medical Publishing Group as a Scientific Copyeditor and held positions at the University of Cape Town as a Post-doctoral Fellow and Assistant Lecturer/Tutor. Their early career included a role as an Assistant Manager at e-sensuals and an EFL Teacher at Fu-Hwa Kindergarten.
Kerry Gordon has a strong educational background in the field of biochemistry and microbiology. They obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Biochemistry from the University of Cape Town in 1996. They then pursued further education at the same university, completing a Master of Science degree in Medical Biochemistry from 1999 to 2001. Kerry's educational journey culminated in a Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Cape Town, which they obtained from 2007 to 2011.
