Tyler Matheny

Tyler Matheny, Ph.D., currently serves as a Bioinformatics Support Scientist at Watchmaker Genomics, a position held since January 2025. Prior to this role, Tyler worked as a Subject Matter Expert at SOPHiA GENETICS from May 2023 to January 2025 and completed an Informatics Fellowship at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus from March 2020 to April 2023. Tyler's earlier experience includes a Research Scientist role at ArcherDX, Inc. and a Postdoctoral Associate position in the Roy Parker Lab at the University of Colorado Boulder, where Tyler also completed a Ph.D. in Biochemistry. Additional experience includes a GeneLab Intern position at NASA Ames Research Center in summer 2018. Tyler holds a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Music from The University of Tulsa.
