Abigail Smith

Abigail Smith has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Abigail is currently working as a Senior Media Officer at WaterAid, a position they started in March 2023. Prior to this, Abigail worked as a PR Account Manager at Sports Marketing Group (SMG) from March 2022 to March 2023. Before that, they held two roles at the British Red Cross, starting as a Campaign Assistant for the 150th Anniversary from March 2020 to February 2021, and then as a PR Officer from February 2021 to March 2022.

Abigail'scareer began with a media internship at the British Red Cross, where they supported the PR team in various campaigns and secured national coverage in the Metro. Abigail then took on the role of Global Marketing Officer at Volunteer Eco Students Abroad, where they organized and delivered information meetings to promote development programs to students at universities worldwide.

Prior to that, Abigail worked as a Legal Administrator at Foot Anstey LLP and as a Cultural Ambassador at Yabroad, where they acted as a Cultural Ambassador to a local school and organized educational activities to expose young Chinese students to Western cultures.

Abigail's early work experience includes an internship as a Sports and Culture Services Intern at North Somerset Council, where they managed their own government research project and conducted qualitative public surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of leisure services.

Overall, Abigail Smith has gained a range of skills and experiences in media, public relations, marketing, event organization, and research throughout their career.

Abigail Smith completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Relations and Politics at the University of the West of England from 2013 to 2016. Later, in 2018 and 2019, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Media and International Development at the University of East Anglia.
