Alex Busingye has a diverse work experience in the field of communications and journalism. Alex started their career as a Writer for Voice of America, where they provided programming for broadcast on radio, TV, and the Internet. Alex then worked as a Communications Associate for RUSS Consulting, a PR consultancy.

In 2012, Alex joined Ameson Education and Cultural Exchange Foundation as a Program Associate and Recruiter. Alex later became a Strategic Communications Consultant for the Ministry of Education Liberia.

Alex worked as a Regional Editor for Ducor Sports, a digital media company focused on African sports coverage. Alex developed content, corrected errors, verified facts, and collaborated with writers to publish successful stories.

Alex also served as a Public Relations Officer for Kampala International University and a Communications Consultant for The Association of Commonwealth Universities, where they developed a communication course module for a research project on marine plastics.

In 2014, Alex became the Editor In Chief for The Bush Chicken, a Liberian news outlet known for its comprehensive coverage and wake-up call to critical issues. Alex identified problems with journalism and aimed to provide well-researched articles.

Currently, Alex is working as a Strategic Communications Consultant for NileValley Communications. Alex is responsible for providing strategic communications solutions.

In 2020, Alex joined WaterAid as a Communications Officer, where they are involved in communication activities related to water and sanitation issues.

Alex Busingye completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Professional Communication at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology from 2006 to 2009. Following that, from 2010 to 2012, Alex pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Public Communication at American University, specializing in Communication and Media Studies. In addition to their formal education, Alex has obtained several certifications and completed courses in various subjects, such as Graphic Design, Video Production and Editing, Film and Video Editing, Communication Foundations, Zoom, and Non-Profit Video Creation. These certifications were obtained from institutions like LinkedIn and Lynda.com between 2019 and 2022.
