Right Equity And Inclusion Officer

Moussa Traore has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Moussa started their career as a Professor of Law at Cfpi from October 2004 to April 2007, where they taught legal tools and reasoning, jurisdictional organization, and civil and criminal trial procedures.

In 2009, Moussa became a Program Animator at NGO/CAEB, where they were involved in project implementation until December 2010. Moussa then continued to work at NGO/CAEB as a Project Coordinator from March 2011 to March 2013. In this role, they were responsible for planning, supervising project activities, and improving the NGO's institutional management and governance systems. Moussa also represented the NGO to administrative and political authorities.

From March 2013 to December 2013, Moussa worked as a Project Officer at the Norwegian Refugees Council/NRC. Their responsibilities included analyzing the protection needs of internally displaced and vulnerable people and conducting identification studies of internally displaced persons.

Since February 2014, Moussa has been working at WaterAid-Mali as a Right Equity and Inclusion Officer. Their duties include strategic design and management of human rights projects, analysis of water, hygiene, and sanitation policies, monitoring project implementation, and ensuring quality control. Moussa is also involved in developing and implementing human rights-based approach strategies and project planning for sustainable development.

Through their work experience, Moussa has acquired skills in strategic design, project management, stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, analysis of policies and strategies, capacity assessment, project management cycles, gender and social inclusion integration, and performance evaluation.

Moussa Traore's education history includes obtaining a Master 2 (M2) degree in Monitoring and Evaluation from Otc International / Ouagadougou, which they completed between 2017 and 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Law from the Faculty of Legal and Economic Sciences / Bamako, which they completed from 1998 to 2003.

In addition to their formal education, Moussa Traore has also obtained various certifications. These include a certificate in Agile au travail: Générer des rapports à l'aide de graphiques et de tableaux from LinkedIn, obtained in May 2020. Moussa also holds a Certificate of Achievement from the Inter-American Development Bank, obtained in October 2019. Moussa Traore has further certifications in human rights from the Ecole de Maintien de la Paix / Bamako, obtained in April 2019, and gender studies from UN Women, obtained in February 2019.

Furthermore, Moussa Traore has acquired a certification in the Phere Project on humanitarian charter and minimum standards of humanitarian intervention from Phere Project, obtained in October 2018. Moussa also obtained a certification in Results-Based Management, Stakeholder engagement, and team communication from Groupe canadien MDS - centre de formation agréé par le Gouvernement du Québec en gestion de projets in December 2017.
