Ousmane Traoré

Ousmane Traoré has extensive work experience in various organizations. Ousmane currently works at WaterAid as the Manager de mobilisation des financements since August 2021. Prior to that, they were a Grants Development Officer at Creative Associates International from August 2020 to August 2021. Before that, they worked at Institut Malien de Recherche Action pour la Paix (IMRAP) as a Collecteur d'histoires de vie individuelle from October 2019 to January 2020.

Ousmane Traoré has a long history with Plan International Mali. Ousmane held multiple roles at the organization, including Coordinateur de Subventions (Grants Coordinator) from July 2015 to May 2019, Coordinateur de Parrainage de terrain from July 2008 to June 2015, and Acting Program Unit Manager in March 2015 and May 2008.

Earlier in their career, Ousmane Traoré worked as a Coordinateur de Développement Communautaire at Plan International Mali from September 2001 to June 2008. Ousmane also served as a Professeur d'Anglais at Institut Jesse Louis Jackson de Bamako from October 2000 to June 2001. Their first professional experience was as an Animateur Villageois at Projet de Gestion des Ressources Naturelles from February 1996 to September 2000.

Ousmane Traoré completed their Maîtrise en Anglais in Education from École Normale Supérieure de Bamako, where they studied from 1990 to 1995. Later, from 2016 to 2020, they pursued a Licence Professionnelle in Human Resource Management at the Centre de Perfectionnement et de Reconversion.

In addition to their formal education, Ousmane Traoré obtained several certifications. In January 2022, they obtained a Permis de Conduire Type B from the Office National de Transport. In September 2019, they acquired a Permis de conduire A2 from the Office Nationale de Transport (ONT). In June 2018, they received certifications in "Protéger les enfants et les jeunes" and "Sauvegarde de la Sécurité et Protection des Enfants et des Jeunes" from Plan International Mali. In July 2017, they obtained a certification in "Secourisme & Sécurité Incendie" from Plan International Mali. In June 2013, they participated in the "Formation Regionale sur Child Data 4.1" organized by Plan International Mali. Going further back, in September 2010, they completed the "Administration de Foot-Ball" course offered by the Fédération Malienne de Foot-Ball, Ligue Régionale de Foot Ball de Kayes, and District de Foot-Ball de kita. In January 2010, they received training in "Initiation en prévention et gestion de catastrophes" from Plan International Mali. In January 2008, they acquired the "Methode d'enquete LQAS (Lot Quality Assurance Sample)" certification from Plan International Mali. Lastly, in April 2005, they completed the "Décentralisation et Bonne Gouvernance" course from Plan International Mali.
