Global Director Of Policy And Campaigns at WaterAid

Sol Oyuela has a diverse work experience in the policy and advocacy field. Sol currently serves as the Global Director of Policy and Campaigns at WaterAid since April 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Unicef UK as the Director of Public Affairs from September 2013 to March 2019. Sol also held various roles at Christian Aid, including Head of Advocacy from January 2013 to August 2013, Senior UK Political Adviser from August 2011 to December 2012, and Senior Advisor for Climate Change Policy from September 2010 to August 2011. Before joining Christian Aid, they worked as a Climate Change Policy Analyst at CAFOD from February 2009 to January 2011 and as an Advocacy and Policy Coordinator at Progressio from November 2006 to January 2009. Sol started their career as a Policy and Administrative Assistant at the Embassy of Argentina to the Vatican from April 2004 to February 2006.

Sol Oyuela has a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Universidad de 'San Andrés'​, which they obtained from 1999 to 2002. Sol then pursued an exchange program in Political Sciences at Sciences Po from 2001 to 2002. Later, they attended the University of Sussex from 2006 to 2007 to earn a Master's degree in Governance and Development, with a specialization in Development Economics and International Development.
