Mathew Hanson

Propulsion Lead

Mathew Hanson is an aspiring Mechatronics Engineering student at the University of Waterloo, expected to graduate in 2027. They have served as a design team captain for Waterloop and contributed to various design and research teams, including the UWASIC analog chip design team and Baja SAE. Their past experience includes internships at companies such as BRP, Curtiss-Wright, and Ground Effects Environmental Services, where they worked on projects involving vehicle testing, software validation, and electrochemical reduction. Currently, they are an FPGA designer at Evertz Microsystems, developing high-speed IP switches and routers. In their free time, Mathew enjoys outdoor adventures and learning musical instruments.
