Victor Qian

Victor Qian is an experienced professional in the field of engineering and software, currently working as a Software professional for the City of Toronto since May 2023. Qian co-founded Lumos Health Inc. in July 2019 and has served as an advisor with Waterloop, Canada’s Hyperloop Team, since June 2015. Previous roles include Special Projects Robotics at Civica Infrastructure Inc. from April 2019 to April 2023 and a Researcher in Material Science at the University of Waterloo from July 2016 to September 2018. Early experience includes positions in risk assessment at Health Canada, rocket engineering with Waterloo Rocketry, and process engineering at Leitz GmbH & Co. KG. Qian holds a Master of Applied Science and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, obtained in 2018 and 2016, respectively.
