Steve Davis has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. In 1999, they worked as a Summer Associate at Edwards & Angell. From 2002 to 2004, they served as an Associate Attorney at DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary. In 2006, they became the Executive Director of The Climate Conservancy until 2010. Following that, from 2008 to 2012, they were a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the Carnegie Institution, Department of Global Ecology. Additionally, from 2010 to 2012, they served as the Chief Scientist at Near Zero. In 2012, they moved to UC Irvine as a Professor. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Climate Science at Watershed, starting in 2022.
Steve Davis attended Stanford University from 2004 to 2008, where they pursued a PhD in Environmental Earth System Science. Prior to this, they studied at the University of Virginia School of Law from 1999 to 2001, obtaining a JD degree in Law. Steve Davis began their higher education journey at the University of Florida, where they completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Philosophy from 1996 to 1998.
