Gavin McCormick

Co-Founder & Executive Director at Watt Time

Gavin McCormick is the Co-Founder and Executive Director at Watt Time. Gavin was previously a PhD student at UC Berkeley from July 2010 to December 2016, where they focused on detecting on the avoided/marginal emissions from renewable energy generation based on where & when it was produced, and the behavioral aspects of how consumers and firms act in response to this information. Gavin was also an Associate Economist at Battelle from June 2009 to May 2014, where they provided research and analytical support on energy policy, with a focus on residential and commercial energy efficiency. Prior to that, they were an Associate Analyst (Environment Practice) at NERA Economic Consulting from May 2007 to July 2008. Gavin got their start in the field as a Volunteer Teacher in Namibia from December 2005 to December 2006.

Gavin McCormick has a Master's degree in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of California, Berkeley and a BA in Economics from Williams College.
