WAVED Medical's mission is to advance breast cancer screening research by developing computational methods to analyze at-risk dense breast tissue that traditional mammography cannot characterize, with the goal of providing clinicians with analytical tools for screening decisions. Our biophysics-driven approach is grounded in measurable physical principles rather than opaque computational methods.

WAVED Medical LLC was founded in July 2022 as a spinoff from the CompuMAINE Lab at the University of Maine, with the goal of translating over a decade of breakthrough research into a commercial solution. Led by Dr. Andre Khalil, our team has developed a patented computational approach that addresses a critical gap in mammography screening.
