Nick Howell

Nick Howell leads Optum’s Market Performance Partnership group, which develops broad and unique partnerships with health systems and payers to accelerate their growth and performance agenda. Applying the full breadth of Optum’s services, capabilities, analytics, and technology, these partnerships are unique in scope and impact in the industry.

In previous roles at Optum, he led the payer sector within Optum Advisory Services, which brings a multi-disciplinary approach to addressing financial risk, population health, and operational priorities to drive performance and growth for health plans. He also previously led Optum’s Operations and Administrative Services business for health plans.

Prior to joining Optum in 2011, he was a partner with Accenture’s Health and Public Service operating group, holding various client delivery and leadership roles over twenty years at Accenture. He holds a bachelor’s degree in History from Stanford University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Texas, Austin.
