Robert Thomas

Robert Thomas has a diverse work experience in the field of music and technology. Robert started their career in 2004 as a Composer and Sound Designer. From 2009 to 2014, they served as the Chief Creative Officer, Adaptive / Generative Music Composer, and Music Systems Programmer at Reality Jockey, Ltd. During this time, they worked on creating music that adapts in real-time to include the sounds of the surroundings, movement, and touch on the iPhone. In 2014, they started their own company, Robert Thomas Composer, where they worked as a Composer, Sound Designer, and Adaptive / Generative / AI Music and Functional Music Specialist.

In 2019, Robert Thomas took on new ventures. Robert joined Wavepaths as a Composer, Music Lead, and Generative Music Engineer. Robert then joined Mictic as a Music Systems Designer and Developer. Mictic AG is a fast-growing startup focused on developing innovative user experiences in augmented reality, applying proprietary technology to revolutionize the way people interact with music.

Robert Thomas attended Birmingham City University from 1992 to 1995, where they earned a BA (Hons) degree in Architecture. Robert then attended South Bank University from 1996 to 1998, where they obtained a PG Dip Arch degree in Architecture.
