Aasmund Erlandsen has over 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. From 1986 to 1993, they held various management roles at Norsk Brønnservice (Norwegian Well Services) and served as Managing Director with total responsibility for the company. From 1993 to 2001, they held various management roles within sub-surface technology and operations at Statoil, and served as a consultant. From 2001 to 2006, they were General Director at DNO ASA Mozambique, delivering a roadmap and managing exploration/drilling operations. Aasmund also held the role of Well Interventions and Completions Manager, advising management on well technology-related risks and challenges. From 2006 to 2013, they served as Vice President Operations Assurance and Division Managing Director (incl. Sector and Division Manager) at Transocean. From 2013 to 2014, they were Chief Operating Officer at Sevan Drilling ASA, monitoring and managing overall company’s operations in Brazil and US GoM. From 2014 to 2017, they were Chief Operating Officer at Fram Drilling, laying the foundation of the company and negotiating and securing a rig-building contract with Chinese shipyard. From 2017 to 2019, they were Managing Director for Norway at RelyOn Nutec, directing operational activities and drafting and implementing new strategy. From 2019 to 2020, they were Director Business Development at RelyOn Nutec (Global), spearheading business growth through mergers and acquisitions and leveraging from personal network to accelerate geographical extension in West Africa. Since 2020, they have been Managing Partner at xpand Norge, and since 2021, they have been Chief Operating Officer at WaveTech Group.
Aasmund Erlandsen completed a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Stavanger between 1982 and 1985. Aasmund then went on to earn a Master of Management from the BI Norwegian Business School from 2009 to 2011, with a focus in Business Administration and Management, General.
