Bill Mauer

Bill Mauer has a diverse work experience in the software engineering and development field. In 2000, they started their career at Cayenta as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked on projects involving CORBA to EJB conversion and building JSP/Beans/XML websites. Bill then joined Sony Online Entertainment in the same year, taking on various roles such as Software Engineer, Lead Programmer for Casual Games, Lead Programmer for International Operations, and Senior Software Engineer/Project Manager. At Sony Online Entertainment, they were responsible for implementing changes and managing the transition of a massively multiplayer online game, Star Wars Galaxies, for the Japanese market.

In 2007, Bill moved to Aspyr Media and held positions including Lead Software Engineer, Development Manager, and Development Director. Their notable achievements include leading technical efforts on The Sims Castaway Stories, resulting in a successful on-time and on-budget release with fewer bugs than previous games in the series.

From 2009 to 2010, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Certain Affinity and then as a Manager of Platform Engineering at UTV True Games. In 2010, they joined Total Immersion Software as a Senior Software Engineer before joining Portalarium in 2011. At Portalarium, they served as a Senior Software Engineer, Lead Software Engineer, and Director of Core Technologies.

In 2013, Bill became the Lead Server Engineer at Certain Affinity, and in 2016, they joined Electronic Arts (EA) as a Senior Software Engineer. Most recently, in 2018, they became the Vice President of Engineering at Wave. Throughout their career, Bill has demonstrated strong technical skills, project management abilities, and leadership qualities.

Bill Mauer attended Clarkson University from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science.
