Mike Mcshaffry has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. Mike started their career at Ion Storm as a Senior Programmer, where they successfully implemented a third-person camera system for Thief: Deadly Shadows. Mike then joined BreakAway Austin as the General Manager, leading the creation of AAA console games and high-end training simulations.
Afterwards, Mcshaffry worked as a Production Consultant for various companies, including Arkane Studios, NCSOFT, and Mr.Mike. Mike also founded their own company, MrMike, where they served as the Owner.
Later, they joined Red Fly Studio as the Director of Product Development, where they reformed production methodologies and advised the CEO on strategic matters. Mike then became a Production Consultant for the company.
In 2013, Mcshaffry joined ArtCraft Entertainment as the Founder and Principal Engineer. Mike also had the role of Mouse Tickler and Second Oldest Developer at ArtCraft Entertainment, making a notable impact with the game Crowfall.
Mike'smost recent position is Cloud Architect at Wave, where they are currently employed. Mcshaffry has also been a long-time member of the IGDA until 2010. Overall, their work experience highlights their expertise in game development, management, and consulting.
Mike McShaffry attended the University of Houston from 1984 to 1989. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
