Jonathan Grimes

Jonathan Grimes has a solid work experience in software engineering and related roles. Jonathan is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at WayBetter since December 2021. Prior to that, they worked at NextThought for ten years, starting in April 2011 as a Software Engineer. At NextThought, they played a key role in architecting and building web applications using modern technologies such as JavaScript, node.js, React, CSS, HTML, Jest, and WebSockets. Jonathan worked on projects like the LMS Platform Front-End Application, which involved mobile and desktop/tablet interfaces and various interconnected features like courses, books, videos, notes, highlights, and discussions. Jonathan started their professional career as a Software Developer at RiskMetrics Group in December 2005 and worked there until March 2011. Additionally, they worked as a Network Administrator/Web Master at Primary Vision Care Services from January 2001 to June 2002, where they provided technical support for office computers and managed the company's website.

Jonathan Grimes earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Oklahoma, where they studied from 2002 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications from Microsoft. In 2000, they became a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), and achieved the Microsoft Certified Professional + Internet (MCP+I) certification.
