Barbara Straw

Barbara Straw currently serves in Training and Development for Engineering Operations at Waymo, where significant improvements in vendor accountability and onboarding SLAs have been achieved through the development of comprehensive Train the Trainer Programs. Prior to Waymo, Barbara held various leadership roles at Google, including Head of Knowledge, Education and Training for Legal, leading a global team to promote compliance and manage learning initiatives, as well as Program Manager for Process Design & Technology, focusing on the development of next-generation learning tools. Earlier experience includes serving as Distributed Learning Manager at Fireman's Fund/Allianz, overseeing learning strategies for multiple companies, and extensive tenure at Autodesk in various training and management capacities. Barbara holds a Master Certificate in Human Resources from Cornell University and an Associate's Degree in Business from Santa Rosa Junior College.
