Bill Burns

Bill Burns is a seasoned cybersecurity leader currently serving as the Head of Cybersecurity Technical Program Management at Waymo, where responsibilities include protecting riders and vulnerable road users while overseeing cybersecurity initiatives. Prior to Waymo, Bill spent six years at Google in various roles, including Senior Product Operations Lead and Senior Program Manager focused on security, privacy, and operational efficiency. Earlier experience includes a role as Information Technology Risk Manager at Fannie Mae, where Bill analyzed and improved governance and compliance processes, and as Advisory Senior Associate at KPMG, managing IT audit operations and collaborating with C-level executives. Bill holds a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Management Information Systems from Loyola University Maryland.
