Chiyu Jiang (Max)

Max Chiyu Jiang is a Tech Lead Manager and Staff Research Scientist at Waymo, where expertise is applied in generative world models for autonomous vehicles since January 2021. Prior experience includes positions as a Senior Research Scientist focusing on generative AI for autonomous vehicles, and a Senior Applied Research Scientist at Cruise specializing in 3D perception. Max also held roles as a Research Intern at Google and a Graduate Student Researcher at Berkeley Lab during the pursuit of a Ph.D. in Machine Learning from the University of California, Berkeley, completed in 2020.
