David Quinalty

David Quinalty is the Head of Federal Policy & Government Affairs at Waymo, a self-driving technology company. David is also a former Policy Director for Communications and Technology at the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, where they led the Committee's efforts on technology, telecommunications, Internet, and media issues. In this role, they also managed a team of counsels and professional staff, and regularly worked with Congressional offices and leadership, regulatory agencies and the Administration, industry representatives, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and other policy experts to advance pro-growth, pro-consumer tech and telecom priorities.

Quinalty has also served as a Legislative Assistant to U.S. Senator John Ensign and as an Executive Assistant at Landscape Entertainment.

David Quinalty has a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles and a certification from The Leadership Consortium (TLC) in the TLC Leaders Program Certificate of Completion.

They are on a team with Mauricio Peña - Chief Safety Officer, Saswat Panigrahi - Chief Product Officer, and Kevin Vosen - Chief Legal Officer. David Quinalty reports to Dmitri Dolgov, Co-CEO.
